How to make a mask (DIY) at home

This post is upon request from one of our church friends, Varma. Do you think it’s too late for this suggestion?

The lock-down has ended for a few, relaxed a lot for some, eased a bit for a few more, and is still continuing strictly for others.
Whichever zone (Red/Orange/Green) we fall under, it’s best to take preventive measures before heading out your door and hitting the road.

It may sound ridiculous, but unfortunately the Corona virus doesn’t pop up in front of you, with a red mark or a danger sign and a warning “Don’t touch me”. Everything appears normal, and if you’re healthy you’ll hardly show any symptoms before it goes out of control.

Wearing a mask is one of the preventive measures to keep ourselves safe. Sadly, most of us can’t buy a mask because the nearby stores have run out of stock.

Well, you don’t have to regret anymore, ‘cuz you can now make a mask at home, by following the steps below.

All you need:
1) A piece of cloth (I used a breathable cotton cloth. If you don’t have one, you can use any old fabric of breathable material or an old t-shirt)
2) Scissors
3) Needle and thread (You don’t need a high school/degree qualification for this)
4) Elastic band (Alternatively, you can use hair bands too)
5) A round plate with 26-28 cm in diameter

All that you need

Using the round plate for reference, cut out your circle.

Tada! Your mask is now ready to use.
